If you're buying Omron gear for a B2B site, the winning move is boring: match the manual revision, the control architecture, and the connector spec before you chase the lowest quote. For most of my orders, the real savings come from avoiding one wrong SKU—not from shaving 3% off a unit price. And if you're comparing Omron HEM-780 to Apple Health, stop. You're comparing a validated upper-arm blood pressure monitor to a wellness tracker. Different jobs.

Also check the software. CJ2M programs are typically developed in CX-Programmer. If your integrator uses a different toolchain, that's a conversation to have before the PO, not after.
8110 connector and “vs Apple”: two different purchase decisions
The 8110 connector searches often come from someone trying to match a cable, a pinout, or a legacy panel. This is where the outsider blindspot bites hardest. The question everyone asks is “Is this the right price?” The question they should ask is “Is this the exact connector family, pin count, and keying?”
If you substitute a lookalike connector, you might save $40 and lose a shift. That's not a bargain. That's a delay.
Now, “vs Apple.” I get why this comparison shows up. Apple Health and Apple Watch are excellent for step counts, heart-rate trends, and wellness challenges. If your company just wants a walking challenge, Apple is probably the smoother employee experience. If you need documented blood pressure readings for an occupational health program, the HEM-780 is the more appropriate tool.
The numbers said the Apple route was cheaper per employee. My gut said compliance risk. I went with Omron for the health room and kept Apple out of the clinical workflow. Later, our safety manager confirmed that consumer wellness data wouldn't satisfy our recordkeeping requirements.
